First of all, I'm sorry if I posted this to the wrong sub forum.
Hey, I'm looking to greatly upgrade my PC from the specification I mentioned.
The catch is that I want to upgrade the most important components to have the end goal of Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or better.
I already have to upgrade my POWER SUPPLY for that and I don't know about my MOTHERBOARD

I looked it up and it seems that it's an MT Tower Model
Yeah, but for that I need to already upgrade my POWER SUPPLY and potentially other hardware.
That'll keep you in budget.
Later on you can get an i5-7600/7600k/7500 or Ryzen 1600X/1600/1500X and the necessary motherboard and RAM when you can afford it.
you cannot upgrade power supply in that system because it doesnt have 20/24pin power connector on motherboard it is dell proprietary connector (8pin sensing)
i would suggest either a 1050ti (a bit faster than gtx 960 --75w) or gtx 1060 (not overclocked 120w) problem with oc edition is they need more power and some have tdp raised in bios
Shouldn't I upgrade my MOTHERBOARD before my GPU ?
Also, I would prefer to have an Nvidia Graphics Card.
Still, if you upgrade the power supply you might be able to fit a 1060 in there. I would strongly recommend asking in the Hardware and Operating Systems forum first.
Trouble is that your motherboard uses a proprietary connection for the psu (it doesn't use a standard atx 24pin connection) making upgrades a whole lot more difficult. Typical Dell.
Ok, so you're saying that I can keep the case but I have the upgrade the MOTHERBOARD and the POWER SUPPLY, and then the GPU ?
