Soundblaster Z Causing mic to cut out?

So I recently got one of these and sinc ethen my mic has occasionally cut out. It seems to be when there's load game noise (just recently from the loud post-match music in CoD). Any suggestions what this may be?

Could you tell us more about how your mic is set up? Is this a headset and if it's USB or not?

Sennheiser GAME ZERO headset with 2 jacks going into the controller for the soundcard which links directly to the soundcard itself. No USB for the headset.

Try using the sound card directly.

When troubleshooting, try to eliminate variables. Narrow down the cause.

Also in Windows Playback/Recording is a Communications tab; set that to "Do Nothing"
