AOC G2460PF
So I recently just bought this monitor off of amazon for $200.

What should I expect once I get it?

For the people that own this monitor and use a nvidia gpu, have you experience any problems with this monitor after a long time of owning it?

Do I need to install the drivers for this monitor even though I am using a nvidia gpu?

If this monitor really just sucks, are there any better ones I can get for around $250? I have been considering the asus VG248QE. But hey you tell me.

Displays don't have Drivers. Now you might google that and see the word driver attached as a possible result. With most monitors there is whats called an ICC / RGB Profile. It is similar, but still not a driver. It is simply a color profile for your OS designed for that model of display, so your OS can in-turn reflect the RGB color pallete with as much accuracy as possible, given the display model you are using. That is however, completely optional and not something that is required.

Just plug it in, turn on the PC, then configure the Display via it's on-screen menu.

If you are look for opinions/suggestions, best bet would have been to ask before ordering.

Its an excellent monitor.
If you got Nvidia GPU, then FreeSync will not work which will cause to a screen tearing.
The only bad thing I can say about this monitor is that its kinda hard to plug the power cable, you'll need to use force. Also, the monitor is REALLY BRIGHT. If you dont want to ruin your eyes, you should reduce the brightness of the screen in windows settings.

I have that monitor.

The first thing you're gonna notice once you get it, it's that it's too bright, I have my brightness all the way down to 0 on my monitor settings and it's still a little too bright, also I have an AMD GPU and Freesync works great, no problems what so ever.

Also, like the guy above me said, it's really hard to plug in the power cable, at first I thought it was already plugged in all the way, but it wasn't, and it kept shutting down on it's own because of that.

You can reduce the brightness in windows color calibiration settings, in the color balance, just reduce the red, the blue and the green color all the way down.

I know this is old, but are any of you having the sound on the monitor to be extremely low?

Monitor speakers are always very weak and trash quality, use the headset or get some speaker set that is better then 2x5W or 2x10W tincans.
