Correct; XboxOne has its own seperate usb adapter.
A big plus to the Microsoft XboxOne controllers though is it can be connected via Wired as well. Just need a USB-to-MicroUSB (Data-Sync) Cable.

Basically every game is playable with it.

Can you use the nacon revolution pro contro in steam as well? I can remap it but when I go to "batman Arkham knight" it does not work.

I tried with the mode 2 as well. I tried with Witcher 3 and Lego Avengers, none of them recognizes the joystick. The Big Pìcture mode recognizes my controller.
