Is there a good alternative to the 360 controller?
My 360 wireless controller has given up the ghost, well mostly..

Anyway i do like the 360 controller, its comfortable and well supported by pretty much all games, but is there another option out there that is as good..wired/wireless im not to fussed..

or should i just buy another brand new 360 controller??

this afterglow controller looks good and backed up with pleny of good reviews, of course they will be by 360 users, but that shouldnt be an issue should it,,thankyou

Stick to the actual Microsoft ones.

I like the xbox one wireless better, I have a 360 wired controller I used for a long time before switching. I also use analog grips because the dimpled analog sticks are meh.

The xbox one controller is hands down the best controller imo among others ive used in the past . Also a worthy mention if you dont mind spending a little extra is the nacon revolution pro controller , ive been using it mainly for my ps4 but its for pc also , great functionality great feeling of the buttons , build quality and also it has adjustable weights which you can customize .

You also should consider costs; if the OP already has the 360 USB Wireless Adapter (which was an added cost so those can work) then it just makes sense (bang for buck) to get another brand new Microsoft 360 Wireless controller.

But yes, buy after-market grip replacements for your analog sticks; you can add height to the sticks, which generally can help most users, plus save from wearing out the rubbing coating on the analog sticks.

Correct; XboxOne has its own seperate usb adapter.

A big plus to the Microsoft XboxOne controllers though is it can be connected via Wired as well. Just need a USB-to-MicroUSB (Data-Sync) Cable.

Steam Controller

Basically every game is playable with it.

Be warned. If settings are bad it is horrendous to use :)
It is not fault of device. It is fault of settings.

Can you use the nacon revolution pro contro in steam as well? I can remap it but when I go to "batman Arkham knight" it does not work.

The best alternative to the controller is KB/M honestly.

I tried with the mode 2 as well. I tried with Witcher 3 and Lego Avengers, none of them recognizes the joystick. The Big Pìcture mode recognizes my controller.
