A6-7400K bottleneck ASUS DUAL GTX 1060?
So. I just got my new GPU and I havent seen much of a difference in most games I play and have tested it on. Elite Dangerous noteably. So I was wondering if a A6-7400K bottlenecks a GTX 1060 and if so by how much?

Should note that my last card was a Zotac GT 740 2GB.

^ There are my current specs.

If I do need to upgrade my CPU, sticking with AMD here, what should I upgrade too? I know another FM2/+ card would be more fo a sidegrade so what CPU/Motherbored would you recomend?

Budget of 350$ CAD. Tax where I live is 13% on transactions.

Nothing current supports DDR3 anymore.
Only old stuff supports DDR3.

The $329 -$499 range is for a high-end 8Core/16Thread Ryzen CPUs
The cheaper ones (6C/12T and 4C/8T) will release later in the Spring

Overall, see how the Intel prices come down; even an i3 would be miles above what CPU you have now.

So, ignoreing Ryzen do to ungodly cost and the fact I need new RAM (Im in Canada btw) What FM3+ Motherbored/CPU would you recomed. All I can saw is that my current motherbored is the Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-D3HP and I am actuallly useing both 2.0 and 3.0 ports on the back of my computer + 1 in the front.

In otherwords I'm doing my own research on DDR3 Motherboreds with on bored sound and the appropriate USB ports.

Again the pricing for March 2nd is just for the higher-end Ryzen R7 series CPUs; the R5 series to come after, will be a decent range of CPUs for a wider range of budget needs, (6C/12T, 4C/8T, etc.) which will be out later in Q2-2017

Your board is fine as-is; no point in changing that unless you are willing to go towards all new Motherboard + CPU + DDR4 RAM from newer Intel / AMD stuff.

For your Board right now, best bet is update to latest BIOS version.
And get yourself a better cheap CPU that will hold up better over your current one; such as Athlon 880K, 870K or 860K; these have just as good performance as anything in the A10/A8 series of APUs, but just lack an Onboard GPU. So a dedicated GPU is required for the FM2+ Athlons...

Well pricing out an entirely new PC on Canada Computers (Just going through and adding ♥♥♥♥ to cart for price) and accounting for tax I could build a new computer with the R7 1700x withn a month. Might aswell wait till Augest to build this new PC.

Yes if you actually can save up and wait til August, should see some decent price drops by then. Especially during the Back-to-School sales.

Maybe when planning out a new build, just carry over your new GTX 1060 to that build; put the GT 740 back in the current build and that could be continued to use for less demanding apps/games and such; on the new build, put Win10 64bit on it.

Thats what I am planning. Can save quite a bit by not buying a new GPU.
