Only old stuff supports DDR3.
The $329 -$499 range is for a high-end 8Core/16Thread Ryzen CPUs
The cheaper ones (6C/12T and 4C/8T) will release later in the Spring

Overall, see how the Intel prices come down; even an i3 would be miles above what CPU you have now.
In otherwords I'm doing my own research on DDR3 Motherboreds with on bored sound and the appropriate USB ports.
Your board is fine as-is; no point in changing that unless you are willing to go towards all new Motherboard + CPU + DDR4 RAM from newer Intel / AMD stuff.
For your Board right now, best bet is update to latest BIOS version.
And get yourself a better cheap CPU that will hold up better over your current one; such as Athlon 880K, 870K or 860K; these have just as good performance as anything in the A10/A8 series of APUs, but just lack an Onboard GPU. So a dedicated GPU is required for the FM2+ Athlons...

Maybe when planning out a new build, just carry over your new GTX 1060 to that build; put the GT 740 back in the current build and that could be continued to use for less demanding apps/games and such; on the new build, put Win10 64bit on it.
Thats what I am planning. Can save quite a bit by not buying a new GPU.
