AkiTio Node + XFX RX480 + NUC Skull Canyon = BSOD

I got an AkiTio Node and an XFX RX480; trying to hook it up to a NUC Skull Canyon. Whenever I try to install the display drivers (WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-17.2.1-Feb22), I get a BSOD on my Win10pro ver 1607. The error message reads 'stop code: THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER'.
Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe have it double-checked in a Desktop; or return/exchange it perhaps.

I don't dismiss the possibility that it could be the card. However, I don't have access to a desktop on which to test. My option is pretty much order another card -which could get here in a couple of days -but that'd be cutting it uncomfortably close to the deadline for returning the AkiTio box...

Then perhaps a local tech or store that test the box and current gpu seperate and find out which is the issue here

Going to a local shop to test, is not a viable option for me, at the moment. I went with a rather polar extreme solution.

I got the Gainward GTX1070. It kind of works, but it's acting kind of strange. I've created a PDF file (because I don't think Steam allows images in posts) that explains with visual aids. I've posted it here[drive.google.com].

Well for any GPU swaps/tests; please ensure to run the DDU app and do like I suggested in Post#1

After doing this though; you will want to reinstall all of this afterwards:
> Intel Chipset INF
> Intel HD Graphics
> and then whatever GPU Driver for the dedicated GPU
