Overclocking pascal problem
I'm running two MSI gaming X 8G GTX 1080's in SLi

When trying to set a custom OC curve using MSI afterburner I find it will only save the custom curve and apply it to one of the GPU's and resets the second gpu's core clock to 0 ( stock ).

whenever I try to apply it to the second GPU it then resets the first one back to stock.

Does anyone know a workaround for this? I've tried reinstalling the program.

EDIT : Now trying to do it in EVGA's app. hopefully it works here.

EDIT 2 : Prec XOC does exactly the same.

In MSI-AB, check the settings; tick ALL the Unlocks; ensure BOTH GPUs are being listed, should be a box with GPU#1 and GPU#2; if so then should be ok, but ensure the "SYNC" box is ticked, so when in SLI any changes to one GPU are applied to both.

I tried that. both GPU's are listed.

Even with them set to sync it still doesn't sync. Second card is still at stock clock speeds when setting custom curve.

EDIT : Everything else sync's fine. It's just the core clock that won't.

Then one of them is most likely an issue; perhaps faulty.

In general settings compatibility enable low level access interface and set to kernel mode, unlock voltage control set to whichever your card is (reference, standard or extended).

It's not a problem with the card. It's the app, prec XOC does exactly the same.

I'll try that when I get chance and update post.

Yes, what oobymach said, this is basically a must.

Are you running multiple GPU controlling apps at the same time?
Like EVGA PrecisionX and MSI Afterburner both running at same time... That will not work.
If this is not the case, the fact that both have same/similar issues is why I suggest one GPU might be faulty.

It's really not that hard to check them individually.

I think it's just MSi afterburner. Prec X actually functioned normally with the OC curve on both gpu's

I'm not convinced it is a fault with the GPU's. SLi functions perfectly ( on games that support it ), Temps are fine ( 45'C under load on both).

If I just used the standard +100 on core and +450 on memory it functions fine. It was just afterburners custom curve feature I was having problems with.

Either way. Thank you for the replies. Appreciate it.
