After that spend the money on some other keyboard which is not a Razer. Their keyboards and mice are terrible when it comes to longevity. Razer also uses Chinese grade Cherry MX Clones, they're not the real deal no matter what someone says.
I've owned Razer BW Ultimate 2014(Blue LED) and it had pretty much the same problem with the keys you mentioned, some of them double-triple register, some won't even register. Razer keyboards are godawful in quality.
Depending on your budget & requirements we can suggest better keyboards that will last a lot longer than crappy Razer Keyboard.
Cough Corsair Cough
Well, razer isn't my most favorable gaming peripheral company I own an orichi, mamba, and black widow. I have owned my black widow for 7 years now. I'm actually mad at my keyboard because I want a new one but can't justify the expense while the black widow is still functioning like new.
OP, you should be fine for just a RMA as I think razer makes good products and I have had lots of experience with them.
Good Luck!
But I highly doubt that the metallic stabilisers would have shorted the keyboard. They don't come in contact with the PCB.
As for static discharge, that is unlikely as well because the internal components are not exposed.
