i read through that, but no one from nvidia chimed in so... i mean i have noticed with some of the newer driver updates that i take a performance hit so thats why i stuck with what ever the fug version i had before, cant remember, but it would be nice to see what improvments were done on this version. now i have to waste more of my time to get my system back to max frame rate
Rule of thumb, don't download drivers through Windows Update.
Wipe it out with DDU.
I updated my graphics cards from the nvidia site, all is ok now.. Ah .. It's all good..
W..
WAIT !!
BUT...
NO.. NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OPERATING SYSTEM OF ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ STOP RE-DOWNLOADING THAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ UPDATE .....
I start really to have the motivation of sending to Cortana all my HATE about Windows Update in Windows 10 (NOT PRO EDITION HERE) !
WHY.. Microsoft, What we've done to you for desserving that pain, stop making us suffering from your experiments when our system are fine !!!??
is there a setting in DDU software you must activate to allow DDU to turn off auto driver updates?
i stilll just dont understand why this driver is not listed on Nvidia's driver download page, very strange. does anyone have spec info on vers 376.53? On the driver page it goes from 376.33 to 378.49 skips over it WTF is this all about?

i use that all the time to keep Win 10 from not updateing my WORKING set of drivers on my Win 10 home laptop as well as my Win 10 Pro Desktop
only issue is when ya have a NEW version build of Win 10 rolls out .. yep ya gotta run the wizard ....and the tool again
but yes it'll block driver updates on the hardware you select ..so you can use the proper drivers you wish to use
works great for my old lexmark lazer printer too , as well as my old Sound card in my desktop and the conexant audio chip in my cheapo laptop and AMD crap video chip in there too . it just seems to run better with older drivers ... so DL that tool and back it up to a usb thumb drive
so you'll have it around when the next Win 10 build gets released .
so yes MS did release a workaround for when ya get auto updates of bad drivers .. it came out about the same time as WIN 10 Shipped
a;lso see this
