Then relaunch GPU-Z and see.
If that alone doesn't do it, simply go back to C:\NVIDIA and find the PhysX installer and simply reinstall only that.
I obviously have PhysX installed, because I now tried it on High in Borderlands 2 and there were lots of debris when I shot the ground.
Went online and downloaded FluidMark, it found my GPU but said PhysX CPU only.
What does that mean, that it's using my i5 4690K and not my 980 Ti?
Update: I said I used FluidMark and when I did the test with it I thought the PhysX effects behaved a litte weird. After some googling I found out about MSI Combuster or something like that. Here I could test PhysX either on GPU or CPU. So I tried with the GPU of course. The PhysX effects behaved just as weird here too. Just for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles I ran a PhysX test on the CPU. And what do you know, the effects appeared normal on the CPU.
I don't get what's going on here. Is my GPU dying? I can play games just fine, but what if this is just the tip of the iceberg? First PhysX, then something else, more vital?
If you have a game that uses PhysX, set the NVCP to show the PhysX icon, then you can see if its using CPU or the GPUs PhysX.
Do the games settings allow you to change the PhysX quality?
I went back a version and installed 376.33 again, now PhysX shows up in GPU-Z.
Must be something with latest driver then.
