I do a lot of video rendering in 4K using Powerdirector, to be honest, going from 4.5Ghz to 5.1Ghz, i probably save about 5 seconds render time, i only have it at that speed, because i can.. CPU is fine, not a big difference from my i7 Skylake, but i always want the newest.. :)
nice necromancing and sorry you have had a bad experience. but no deepcool AIO leaked for me so far. few pumps that broke early but none that leaked. beside that if every product of them would already be long gone from the market. So you one time experience (which I personally dont believe as I had no leaking aio the last couples years) is ahrdly justifying thsi comment. IMO its just necromancing with biased BS.
I was beginning to worry about you lol. Hi Tacoshy :-)
A leaking cooler shouldn't destroy a PC. That's just a myth. They use De-Ionized water, which is not electrically conductive enough to cause a damaging short.
I should know - had my EK system leaked any more I would've needed an Ark. But my PC survived without harm, and I'm now re-building with a new pump.
Apple Powermac G5's first generation was recalled due that that type of a problem.
And how long ago was that?
I killed a motherboard with two graphics cards getting soaked. The liquid says a lot of things but water is water, it comes into contact with dirt and metal. Metal ions leech into the water. It'll kill your stuff if you have no respect for it. The point is to keep it in the tubes, not on your gear.
