Does GTX 1050 support 4k
My bro is going to get a dell inspiron 15, but it is not for 4k gaming. He is going to just work on some 3d animations with a clear screen, and watch some movies. I have the older one with the 960m, does 1050 support 4k like 960m?

What size screen are you looking at buying? 4K is a waste of money unless the screen size is 27 inches or larger, any smaller than 27" and you're not getting any benefit over a much, much cheaper 1440p WQHD screen.

And yes, the 1050 should handle 4K just fine at the desktop. It won't handle any kind of 4K gaming, though. Not even my 1080 is beefy enough for that.

the 1050 is better than the 960m

as long as it isnt used for games in 4K, it should do fine.

Should work great for that. Just remember to turn the Resolution down to 1920X1080 if you ever want to play any games. Otherwise you'll get a stutterfest.
