mic mic is picking up output audio and not my voice

i have a razer kraken pro headset. my mic used to work fine then i updated my drivers and it suddenly just only started picknig upand playing output audio any advice would help

Alright, for starters, what Operating System are you using?

And just to warn you, Razer is probably the most unreliable brand in the gaming world. I see more complaint/help me threads on this forum about broken Razer products than the next five brands combined - be prepared that your mic may have simply died due to Razer's terrible quality control.

Great. Down in the bottom right-hand corner you'll find the clock and a bunch of other stuff. Including a little Delta ^. Click the delta and open Realtek Audio Settings, it'll bring up a page that lets you pick different devices. Using this page, make sure your Microphone is set as an Input device and your headset is set up as an output.

What I think may have happened, is your driver update mucked up the settings. I did a driver update recently and had the exact same problem - although I'm using Astros rather than Razer.

it doesnt say its a input or output device
