No, atm has to be Rift or Vive.

The S7 doesn't have any HDMI in ports even with OTG. So simply no.
You're best bet is to try and pick up a Used Vive or Oculus.

Gear VR is only for Samsung Phones such as S6 S7 and the like

There is no connecting it to a PC, its Phone only.

Dont listen to those guys they have no clue! Look into Vridge by Riftcat. There is a dedicated Gear VR version that tricks PC into thinking it is a Vive and uses the Gear VR sensors. I have been playing PCars and its great.
You only get a 10 min trial session (unlimited sessions) but the unlock is only £15 and well worth it. Alot of people are playing Elite Dangerous this way. You still need a pretty good PC but its a really good cheap VR experience with very minimal lag, 5ghz Wi-Fi is recommended as you cant USB tether the Gear VR as the port is used by the phone/headset but I have no issues.

Hope that helps.

So go and check it out, in fact there are multiple options for doing this but id say that Vridge/Riftcat is the best, you can even stick a Leap Motion on the front of your headset and get hands in game too, I have yet to try that yet. Im not going to argue with you just go and take a look.
