Mouse DPI and software problems.
so my main mouse broke leaving me to use my old one which is quite old now but the problem is i cant change the dpi as the button once clicked does do aboslutly nothing so i need to know if theres a software where i can manually change the dpi of my mouse the mouse is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ old TECKNET 6D gaming mouse 2000 dpi its supposed to be able to switch from 1000 to 1600 to 2000 i cannot find software anywhere so any help is appreciated

First if your other (now old) Mouse had Mouse Software installed, uninstall this, and restart Windows when completed.

Then set Windows Mouse back to default sensitivity (middle on the scale + precision off)

Then adjust the DPI on the Tecknet, which is done right on the Mouse itself via switch.

when the i click the dpi button it doesnt click in or do anything

it cant be damaged as ive seen people with this problem too

You need to find the proper drivers for that old mouse.
where from as i couldnt find them on the website
There is no drivers, I checked. The mouse does it via ROM, by pressing the switch.
Similar to how Zowie Gaming mouse do it.

Possible that mouse just doesn't function properly either.

It's one reason my wallet would never go towards anything generic like that.

I will put my hard earned $ on something that "works"

i never really intended on using it just a spare one i normally have got expensive mice and keyboards as i like stuff to work myself
