Malwarebytes cannot open

Hey I need help.... Whenever i try to run Malwarebytes it says "Unable to connect to the service" I now fear that i have a virus and do not know what to do...

Yes. Also, windows defender is disabled aswell. It says "This app is turned off my group policy" How do i access group policy.

!!! I mamged to re-enable windows defender! It's not as good as malwarebytes but it' something. I'm doing a full scan right now. I will update the situation.

If it doesn't work on safe mode then I'd say something in the background of Windows is stopping it from opening. I suggest you reinstall Windows to see it solves the problem.

Hey, sorry for the long wait, i had work, just finished windoes defender scan now that i got it to run without the virus blocking it. The virus was caleed "VirTool:MSIL/Obfuscator.BV" strange....

I was able to run all of those programs, but i still cannot run Malwarebytes Antimalware. I have reinstalled it many times. It still says the same message "Cannot connect to the service"

YESSSS! got malwarebytes runing by using chameleon, scanning now. But something strange. When i try to activate my premium license, it says i have no internet connection........ hmmmmmm.....

Sounds like you have infection; namely your Hosts file.

Reboot into Safe Mode w/ Networking and try it that way.

Well as i mentioned before, i maged to get malwarebytes runing off of Chameleon. I am doing a full scan for rootkits and everything; all of my drives. It's gonna take a while. If i don't find anything, i will reboot into safemode and try once more. But i have delted the main virus VirTool:MSIL/Obfuscator.L with windows defender when i managed to "retake" that file and get it up and runing again.

Plz note, i have over 3tbs of data on mypc, this will porbably take a whiiilleeee. It's still going.

It shouldn't take this long; but whatever. All you had to do was scan C drive.

Well idk if this was the correct decision but it is what I did. After hours of trying to get reid of this thing, going into safe mode (which by the way I got stuck in for a while) and I wasn't able to run the windows recovery tool. I reinstalled windows 10. I didn't really loose much, i just put all of my important stuff on an external HDD.

Did you actually format C drive when u reinstalled the OS though?
If you have a "Windows.old" on root of C drive, then u didn't format it, which you should do.

Use most tools and system restore, do not function inside Safe Mode; thats not what safe mode is for. It's not for installing/uninstalling things either.
