Obviously a 980ti would smoke it, but you have to rely on sketchy used parts to get it cheap....
-If you are wiling to spend more get a RX 580 8gb and 16gb of RAM.
Also you forgot the two red case fans ;P
Here: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/47bYBP with this build you can add another 2 sticks of 4 if you decide to upgrade. The mobo has 4 RAM slots.
I removed them because the case already includes all the fans you need.
120GBs fill up quite quickly
and at least with a 250GB you can add a game or 2 that would make use of its speed.
Yes i know, but a 120GB really is pushing it though even for just the OS
Updates
Programs
It'll all take a toll
Not to mention especially if you have the pagefile on the SSD, thats about 8GB taken by default, more if you ever add more RAM.
OS is about maybe 15-20GB, while that doesnt seem like much, future updates and everything else you may install will add up.
Besides, having certain games that do better on an SSD is worth it.
Like you said, most games (or even applications) don't benefit very much from dual-channel RAM.
