Need Nvidia driver 378.13 in the SteamOS "precise" repositories
Just got a brand new Steam Machine and when it boots, it just does an infinite update loop. From what I can tell, this is because X never starts, so SteamOS rebuilds all the driver modules and reboots to apply them, at which point X never starts, so SteamOS rebuilds all the driver modules...you get the idea.

The reason X isn't starting is because the 1080 Ti requires driver version 378.13, and the SteamOS repositories only have version 367.27 (which supports the 1080, but not the 1080 Ti).

-1 for CyberpowerPC...the hardware seems legit and I still like their configuration Web app but clearly they don't test things before they send them out or they'd have noticed that this computer flat-out doesn't boot into its operating system. And yes, I did read the pinned post about manufacturer rants but considering I bought this PC through a link on Valve's Web site because I figured that would be the best way to set myself up for success, I think it's at least relevant to point out that one of their partnered OEMs is selling machines that don't work out of the box.
