There's no reason for this anyway, nowadays.
No, there is much more to it then "initial load times"
Just like there is more to SSD then "better OS boot times"
Hard to explain. But if you don't have games that use a ton of in-game prefecting, dont' worry about it much. Games like GTAV, Witcher3, Skyrim w/ Mods, Arma3... and open world games.
1TB SSD are nice, but you still want the OS drive to always be setup for "if it dies or my OS gets screwed, I'm not losing anything I can get from a backup, or redownload. But even with saving stuff to HDDs you care about, it too needs to be backed up elsewhere, if its really that important.
Try telling those folks on here who we try to help suggest building a PC...
"Oh i'm fine with a WD Blue 1TB, I dont need the speeds of SSD; I'll maybe get an SSD later" yea NO... if anything u get just an SSD now, then add more HDD storage later on when your budget allows. Always get the SSD first, so the OS can go here.
Lucky me, I guess. I don't play open-world games. And I'll make sure to pin that tip in my head, about what if my OS drive gets screwed. Everything needs to be backed up at some point.
I'll make sure of that in the future if I'll find someone regarding building a new PC!
ssd vs hdd is like playing 480p your whole life and going to 1080p. You nver go back. it's literally that kinda differance.
One thing that comes to my mind, though. How well is a single drive organized when everything in it is installed: System, games, music, media, and whatever else that one is using/saving in a single drive?
As well as u make it. ♥♥♥♥ saves where u tell it to on any system.
In general. Games you install (Steam or Origin) go to Program Files (x86). Programs and other softwares to the same directory as well. But what about savefiles, all the trash/temp files that the PC keeps, Appdata, Roaming, all that crap.
Basically, using a single drive is the same as using a second drive for everything else except in a single drive case, you install everything?
Nooo problem at all!
