Is it worth buying Asus VP228H for CSGO and DOTA 2?
It has 1ms response time and 170/160 viewing angle @ 60Hz with fullhd?

Only 60Hz refresh rate and no idea about input lag, so i don't think it's a good CSGO monitor.

Also no info about ghosting. I love how manufacturers leave out the important bits.

So 1ms response time[isn't this imput lag] and viewing angle near 180 degrees are not significant in any way ?

1ms response time Grey to Grey, it's not input lag. It would be a super duper uber monitor to have 1ms input lag.

That post says advertized specs are not reliable.

Yep, sadly that's true. They feed you a bunch of nonsense useless info. 80% of the advertised features on the monitor you're looking at for example exist in all other gaming monitor.

ASUS VP228H was priced reasonably @ 9000/- INR on amazon , my dealer asks for 9750/- for same model.

I was just expecting fluid play.

To get fluid play you do need to look at expensive 144Hz monitor. They are tuned to gaming and usually have very low input lag and other jazz.

ASUS VG248QE
That will seriously ownz the VP228H

There are cheaper Korean monitor that provide almost the same level of these monitors as well. Basically monitor with >144Hz refresh rate are almost exclusively used for gaming, they feature low input lag.

Search for this

QX2414LED 144 MULTI

It's a Korean monitor, people could overclock it from 144hz to 185hz.

Yep, although with 4k 144Hz coming soon from Acer, I don't think 360Hz or even 600Hz monitor is that far off for 1080p.

You could also search for DP2414, it's another Korean Monitor with 1080p 144hz 24" TN monitor at <$200.
