Hey I was wondering if anyone can help me. All the other buttons on my ps4 controller work correctly, but my right analog stick doesnt seem to want to work. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

Likely something broken within the controller itself. It could be the solder on one of the connections has snapped, or there's a bad contact somewhere breaking a circuit. It could even be that the thumbstick's mount has snapped.

Issues like this are usually terminal. I would check to see if you're still covered under warranty/returns policy, if not you'll likely need a new controller. If you have a soldering iron you could consider dismantling the controller and resoldering any damaged/loose conntections, but that would volid your warranty and may cause other issues later.

I havent had any problems when I'm using it on my ps4.. I guess I can try my other controller and see if that one works.
Thanks for the reply :)

My next focus would be firmware & drivers. Have they worked previously? What kind of drivers/software are you using for compatibility?

At least we know they both work fine.

I literally just started pc gaming today, and I'm going all by ear.
What info would you need?

With the PS4 controller, did you just plug it in? Or did you download the software to go with it?

I believe I downloaded software, and then I paried it via bluetooth.
When I plug it in, all it does is charge, unless I'm doing it wrong xD

Un-pair it, then use a USB DataSync cable; not a ChargeOnly cable

You're not doing it wrong, you're just missing a couple of puzzle pieces.

Dualshocks are great controllers, but they're not instantly compatible with your PC. You'll need a 'firmware' app to bridge the gap between Sony and Microsoft designs, thankfully there are a couple available and they're a snap to use & totally free.

This guide shows how to install & use one of the better ones, as well as a link to download it.
