Sounds like faulty quality control on that particular one and the tinted film is coming off.
If it's not the anti-glare filter, but rather just a plastic cover over the screen. It should have a tab on the corner and easily be peeled off. It's just part of the box packaging in that case.

Run in full screen and check how much the corners of the monitor glow when looking directly straight on at it. If it's all glowing, then just turn down the monitor brightness/contrast. If certain areas glow a lot more than others coming from around the edge, then that is likely blb.
