Microsoft store only sells the retail versions (which are about $50 more expensive). I will check local computer shops though, thanks.
Easy
I was considering this one, but too many reviews where the key is scratched to an unreadable state do to a silver sticker. I don't want to take any chances or have any complications.
shouldnt be all that difficult
Yes its more expensive, but you'll have to choose one way or another.
If there is a BestBuy near you i believe they sell them also, or any similar store.
Or buy it here https://www.walmart.com/ip/Microsoft-Windows-10-Professional-64-Bit-Edition/46370761
If you really need a key, that can be purchase inside the OS itself.
It doesn't require any key to install/use the OS.
I didn't know this. Does it act like some sort of trial or something?
That and the water-mark on Desktop. No big deal.
Looks like I'll be building my new PC today.
Thanks to all of your for your responses.
Or
If you have a valid Windows 7 or Windows 8 (8.1) key you can still upgrade to Windows 10 for free through this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/accessibility/windows10upgrade
There's no qualification for this upgrade according to Microsoft, but then you might use the accessibility options. You'd need to install Windows 7 or Windows 8 and then upgrade.
Once you've installed Windows 10 Pro through that method I'd recommend running Fresh Start / System refresh so you just have raw Windows 10 Pro x64 and nothing left behind.
Don't even need to do that; just install Win10 and enter a valid Win7/8 key
