Noise on the 1080 Ti?
While I guess the answer here may vary by manufacturer, I read a lot about the fan noise of the GTX 1080 Ti. For gaming, this isn't really a problem for me as I'm normally in VR anyway and wouldn't hear it.

However, I'm also a Voiceover artist who records with this machine, currently running a GTX 970. When I run Adobe Audition or just use my computer for basic tasks, I don't hear ANY fan at all, and I just want to know that it's not going to be constantly running loud even if I'm not pushing it with a game.

Otherwise, running i7-4770K CP @3.50 GHz
16 gigs of RAM

I've pushed the 970 as far as it's going to go with VR and it's past time to upgrade, but I also don't want to create an environment so noisy, I can't do my VO work.

Thanks.

It won't be any noisier then other high end NVIDIA GPUs.
Especially when not running demanding games.

The 1080ti is pretty quiet. (depends of course on what manufacture the GPU is from). It will be completely quite while not under load during normal use because the GPU fan will not spin if it doesn't have to.

Great. Just wanted to make sure before I made the investment!

Do not get reference/blower model if you care about noise. Just about any other aftermarket cooler model is dead silent vs it.
