My new PC is making a weird noise
So after putting it together, installing Windows 10, and setting up my internet, I've noticed that the PC makes a bunch noise. It's like it's being dragged across concrete and it's really annoying, is there a way to fix this? Not even putting on my headphones blocks out this noise. Also, when it finally stops this grinding dragging noise, the computer starts to freeze up.

It's one problem after another, I swear...

Here are the specs:

From where does the noise come from?
Use a paper towel tube to isolate where the noise is coming from.

Posting your PCs complete specs would be helpful.

Open up your PC while it is on and stop the fans with your hands one by and see which one is making that sound.
You have some defective fan there or maybe defective HDD, nothing else is really moving in the case that could make that noise.

I'll do this now, brb
Check if all screws are screwed tight :)
I'm not an expert but it could be the GPU

I do not think it is the graphics card because the fans are extremely tight there

Its either a fan or a hard drive those are the only moving parts inside a PC.

Yes!!!
The freezing makes me think it is a defective HDD.

Well, I'm back after turning off my computer and maniging my cables. My CPU fan, case fan, and GPU no longer have wires close to them. Turned it back on, heard the noise again and put my ear right to side of the case...

It's the HDD...

FFS all I wanted to do was play some of the newest damn games and now I gotta put up with this nonsense? I won't give up, I'll just have to buy a new HDD then sicne it's the one causing all this trouble. And maybe a new fan too, the stock cooler is keeping the cpu cool but it's loud as well.

You still have an SSD. Build the hdd out and test everything

Don't the SSD and HDD need each other to work? I don't know, I've never known much about the hardware itself, I just know there were no incompatibilites when viewed from PC part picker. The person who made the build keeps updating it.
What drive did you install the OS on if it was the SSD your fine
