Astro A40 MixAmp Pro TR Problems (FIXED)
Not sure if this is the right place to put this but ive asked support and they didnt help me at all, so i'll ask here. I have a pair of A40s and i set them all up exactly as the tutorial on youtube and in the instructions said, yet when i set the default device as "Astro MixAmp Pro game" it makes no sound, but if i set the default communication AND default device (rather than just communication) to "Astro MixAmp Pro voice" it works, but the Game/Voice dial doesnt do as it is intended.

I use this on PS4 aswell and it works completely fine and all dials function as intended so i dont understand what i am doing wrong, anyone got any ideas?

Communication is just the mic.
You need the playback/speaker set to the MixAMP as well.

I have A40s but not the TR Pro Mixamp. I have it connected by only USB.

Are you sure it is in PC mode and not console mode?

Edit- Just to clarify, you are trying to use it for your PC right?
Edit2- I'm on Windows 7, so my device settings might be different.

Yes i am trying to use it for PC haha

i have it connected via usb and the other cord it came with (optical i think is what its called) should i only have one plugged in at a time? And yes i have it on pc mode.

Also i should clarify i have no issues with the mic, only the sound

Hopefully this isn't the Tutorial you watched.

@4:30 he talks about having the default device for the Optical cable.

He goes through the device settings for having both the USB and the Optical cable plugged in.

I'm sorta out of my element as my setup isn't the same and I'm on an older OS.

Funny thing is is if i activate the only other connected device as the default device, it doesnt make any sound either
EDIT: ignore this, my pc preset the optical sound to an extremely low level, i fixed the issue now, thank you so much for linking this video
