DVI or Display Port
Im gonna be gaming at 1080p 60fps, should i use DVI or DP. I know that DP is better but i dont think i have a DP cable. Is there a big difference at 1080p 60fps between these two?

go with the one you don't have. although your screen may look black, you can visualize an image in your mind.

Whichever is cheaper at that resolution and refresh.

I have a dvi cable but not a display port cable, should i get a dp cable or nah

If you have DVI-D, then you don't need DP at that resolution and refresh rate.

Image quality is absolutely the same, either with HDMI, DVI or DP. Because they're all digital. The difference only takes place when you're using very high resolutions and/or 120Hz or more - DVI has less maximum throughput.

Also another difference could be that for HDMI, NVIDIA drivers by default usually sets HDMI connection to "Limited RGB range", but this can be easily changed in the control panel.

I was looking into getting a 4k monitor and the reviews for the one that I wanted talked about the NEED to use the DP over the DVI in order to get absolutely no tearing at high resolutions. It was the first I was aware of the difference so with 4k, yes it makes a difference.

I beleive DVI does not carry audio so that might be something to consider as well if your using something like monitor speakers. If your using the onboard motherboard audio than I guess it does not matter.

DVI does not officially carry audio, but it can do that.
Some DVI-D sources use non-standard extensions to output HDMI signals including audio (e.g. ATI 3000-series and NVIDIA GTX 200-series). Some multimedia displays use a DVI to HDMI adapter to input the HDMI signal with audio. Exact capabilities vary by video card specifications.

My GTX 550 Ti, GTX 750 Ti, and current GTX 1060 can all do digital audio over DVI to HDMI cable (even in Linux).

@ 1080p even VGA can look as good as DVI or HDMI, but VGA would not have audio and may require more adjustments in sizing, centering, brightness, contrast, etc. to look the same.

VGA is an analog signal, it will always lose against DVI/HDMI/DP due to the fact that those are always digital.
Converting a digital signal into an analog one, transmitting it to the cable and then converting it back to digital always causes a quality loss.
The less conversions the better.
