That says the monitor will only run at 144Hz in 2D mode and not in 3D mode when you're running a 3D game.

It's possible the DVI on your GPU is not DVI Dual-Link
If it is not then you'd need to use DisplayPort for 144Hz
It would help to get something better; like RX 470/480 or 570/580

It's just a matter of setting Res + Refresh in the AMD GPU Software; very simple.
How else do you set it?
But again, for what? Games wont run well on any 240 GPU, it's way too low-end.
Another thing about most ASUS Monitors, be sure to go in the OSD Menu on the Monitor and Disable "Splendid Demo Mode"; as this is enabled by default for showing them in stores.
