Do you know if i can turn that setting off? or is there a way i can lower the tempature required to turn the fan on
Alright Fine it's just something that doesn't seems right but if i wont have any overheating issues then its no problem (Thx btw)
To my knowledge there is no way to disable this feature. However overclocking software allows you to adjust fan trigger temps and speeds. You could maybe set the trigger point lower but you'd need to run the software all the time. Never tried OC'ing my GPU, yet, so my info is based on OC'ing CPUs but the prinicipal is the same.
I believe MSI Afterburner is the GPU OC'ing software of choice. Hopefully someone with confirm or correct my theory.
EDIT: Damn, see Air beat me. Really need to type faster ;/
U dont need fans on when the GPU is doing nothing, which is basically all the time when outside of a DX/OGL app. Even if web browser use GPU, shouldn't be much.
No reason for fan when it's below around 55-65*C
Below low is cold for GPU.
Applying fans even at low RPMs would yield basically the same temps; so why wear them out. They kick in when needed.
