looking to move over my pc to a bigger case so i can upgrade??? i have the alienware x51 x2 base model any ideas of what kind of case i can move this to so i can upgrade power supply so i can add my i7 and 1080 ti?? because my case atm does not offer a powersupply other than a 330 wt power brick witch sucks plase let me know

You can if your motherboard uses a standard form factor (eATX, ATX, micro-ATX, Mini-ITX) and if your GPU fits in it.

Look up your specific specs online. Look at the motherboard it uses, and see what form factor it is.

When you transfer it to a different case, you do not re-use the Alienware power board (currently connected to the ATX power on motherboard) and the External Power Supply.

You will also need an ATX power supply.

Yes, on the board it is standard ATX 24pin connection
ITX is just the form-factor (smaller MicroATX w/ just a single expansion slot, PCIEx16)

So given the ITX board small size; you'll have a wide range of Case choices;
ITX, mATX, ATX Mid/Full Towers

Well I assume he made a typo and ment he has the Alienware X51-R2. This MoBo has the socket 1150 so there arent many i7 CPU's with that socket. Also for a GTX 1080 Ti he needs a way better PSU as the the 1080 Ti goes up to 375W. If he buys a new CPU, GPU, PSU and Case he might be cheaper or betetr of by getting a whole new system with a MoBo that supports the 1151 socket. He still could use parts of the alienware like the RAM and HDD/SSD.
