Facebook chat on Steam

Please add the Facebook chat on Steam overlay and Steam Friends.

Edit:
The point of this suggestion is:
-Enable Facebook Chat is optional.
-When connecting Facebook, you would arrive chat notifications, unlike when using the browser.

-Who says facebook chat also speaks of other "instant messaging"
Live, Google, Yahoo, Skype ...
-Connecting to Facebook to find friends there and Steam, but few people use it, that would increase their use.
-Also increase its use if allowed to use Facebook to connect to the Steam account.

I find great ideas that would always optional.

Then why not log into Facebook via the browser in your overlay and you can chat to everyone on there to your hearts content!

last thing I would want is Facebook and Steam chat intergrated, being pestered with "lolcat pics" and "what i had for lunch" or even worse "farmville freindship" crap during gaming would make me hate Steam very very quickly.

no not that ♥♥♥♥ only chat

yes! i want this. i dont see why people are saying "i dont want it because i dont want a ton of notifications while gaming" just dont use it if they added it. simple as that. stop being drama starters and complaining. i think it would be an excelent idea to add it. and i am aware this is old.

found this in relation to facebook chat while playing a steam or non steam game
http://evolvehq.com
when linking the steam account via the website, the website redirects you to steams site asks for username and password + steam code recieved from steam support via email
pretty much the same for facebook
third party application with a built in game overlay with chat, browser which supports youtube etc
also allows you to add your steam, facebook, playstation network, gmail, live.co.uk, twitter etc friends all onto one list similar to ebuddy, pidgin messenger, hives etc. - no origin account support yet but the games still load with the chat overlay
then if someone messages you you get a mini popup at the bottom left of your window ( just like steam ) which shows you your friends chat / login / game playing, to chat back you just press the predefined key set by the app or the key which you chose ( just like steam :o )
also shows your steam achievements on the evolvehq network

why so many nay-sayers? if it's an option, you dont have to use it. jeez.

I love this idea because Facebook is laggy in the steam overlay web browser. Facebook is a big part of people's computer experiences, so why not? it should be an option. facebook is connected to so many other websites and programs because it works well.
