If you want the game badly enough, then be willing to pay what it costs to own it. $20 is what most people are willing to pay for a CoD title that has been out for a couple of years. These are very high profile, large budget, AAA title games that make up the best selling video game franchise currently. $20 is a pretty fair price when all is said and done.
A game is a service which you're to pay for, its not their obligation to provide a free service just because some can not afford it.
Who do you know that will buy a game for thousands of dollars? I sure don't know anyone.
A CoD title that is free to play is being developed in China because that is what works for their demographic. People over there go into what are called Cyber Cafes and play multiplayer games for a small fee. Very few people own their own computer, and so selling a $60 game in the same way that they do over here, makes very little sense.
