Ban Artwork GIF's

The artwork sections are filling up with animated gifs since the new profiles were introduced. People like to display them on their profiles, but most of them have nothing to do with a game and are just making the artwork sections look really terrible. Sorry those who like them, but I think they are really irritating and they are being widely abused.

Agreed, they should be removed. You can upload random GIF's as non-Steam game screenshots so that they don't clog up the community hub for others.

I think if one wants their artwork on their profile, Set it to friends only in privacy then ur friends can see ur art on ur profile an the public dos'ent get bombarder with non-game related material.

Can we report them for being irreverent? Is there any official word on this?
I'm thinking about reporting all these anime gifs in the super meat boy hub.

Yes, you should report artwork that is spam or unrelated to the game.

dude i dont see any gain in this all this will cause is people that pay for games too get pist off also irreverent is pretty stupid to get them removed gifs are just several pics but into a string but they got the size of a normal pic if you want i can cause you too complain more with a high resolution pic for a 1080p in the size of a 128by128 soo pick one gif or hd spam (hd will ruin your pc proformence more then a normal gif)

The point is that if someone wants to see artwork, guides or screenshots for a specific game and it is full of stuff that has nothing to do with the game, something is seriously wrong.
There is absolutely no reason to spam unrelated content onto a game hub. Upload it as a non-Steam game upload or keep it set to private or friends only if you want to show it on your profile.

There is nothing wrong with displaying artwork on your profile if the artwork is related to the game hub that it us uploaded to. Posting off topic or unrelated artwork is not ok.

as long as the gif dont get me in trouble on there profile pic idc what they got cause does everyone want too see that rolling tank or harry potter casting a bolt of lighting what if i want a gif of a cat failing or a failed summersult what is that not allowed now we have to have that killcam from some dude that you dont care about cause thats the only gif thats allowed that you sorta like? i can agree putting a gif in the middle of a guide or review is dumb but say if it wasn't just gifs say it also counted for pics matt that pic wouldent be allowed cause its not a steam game its bart simpson so you would have to change it or your moderator title might be revoked now you see where im getting at? as long as the profile pic isn't something that parents would find offencive to a kid between 6-14 im fine with the gif (6-14 is normal age for kids on videogames that may have parents get angry at a gif). which would be the same too a pic. all this is just dumb if its a profile pic it's fine, if its a gif in the middle of a game review that makes no sense at all in the comment box (the one that this is typed in) then it should be removed.
