Emoticons visible in Profile Names.

I reckon Valve would get a lot more card trading and booster pack interest if players could show off their emoticons in their profile names. What say you?

Great idea, but I think there should be a limit... I wouldn't want to see people's names being a string of 30 random icons.

Although I admit not warning people what the limit is and seeing someone change their name to a bunch of emotes, followed by a bunch of broken-emotes would be funny as hell.

And give all of us saner people an easy way to tell who to filter off our friendlist

What about games who pick up your Steam name in multiplayer ? Devs would need to implement emoticons display in their games, lest you'd have a name akin to :emoticon1:BEST:emoticon2:POTATO:emoticon3:, which would get quite ugly
(there exists color codes in several games for Steam names, ^<number> if I remember correctly, and since Steam does not support such a feature, it renders the nick quite hard to read).

This sure would be awesome. Right now all my emoticons are just sitting in my inventory, or I use them in chats or discussions when they fit.
