Steam timer for games

I love games. But I get very drawn into games easily and can play hours without realising which is bad for my College work. But I think it would be cool if for specific games if you could enable/disable a timer that goes off when you have reached a limit. Even more for those addicts who ignore alarms; gives a warning to save then shuts down the game after a few minutes which you cant play for the rest of the day depending on how you set the options.
Also for moderate gamers maybe a notification that lets you know if you have been playing 30 mins or 1 hour each time that time passes

Ive tried to find something like this on steam but FORGIVE ME IF THIS ALREADY EXISTS.

And please dont write some rubbish like 'oh you should control yourself anyway'- this is just a suggestion to improve steam.

Cool idea, and if I may add, for some it would even be enough to show the time every 10/15/30min or so.
