NO MORE Gamer Launchers

I am absolutely furious with game launchers. I have 40+ Steam games, more than half I must log in to a game launcher (Like Uplay). I am utterly sick of it. I am a hardcore gamer and I play lots of games. Recently, I have been blowing off games that require another game launcher log in. It's so frustrating to attempt to play a game that I have spent $60 on just to have to log into an account I havent logged into for nearly a year and don't remember the log in anymore. Is it really necessary for a developer like Ubisoft to have a launcher? I don't give two ♥♥♥♥♥ about their "free" in game content, or their "points". I can't stand Microsofts pathetic games for windows live requirement for Batman Arkham City, and I despise Origin (for EA titles). All I want to do is double click and go, not double click, wait for launcher updates, login, wait for updates, go through 20 pages of news on my game that I bought but dont own, confirm login, and then play, oh but wait, now the game needs a 1GB update that takes another 20 minutes. I will hereby make a stand, any game that requires another login/launcher I will not purchase. Yes I will miss out on some good titles, yes my ONE opinion doesnt matter (just clearifying for the trolls I know I am nobody and it doesnt matter, I am venting ok!!!) No more ubisoft, EA, or Microsoft purchases from me until the launchers are history. I am already logged into one client, why another? And don't say anything about security, I can go get any game available on the market for FREE, their launchers do NOT provide enough security for that to be a viable arguement. I choose to pay devs for their hardwork for great games like Skyrim.

Now some of you are just becoming arrogant. But I have spoken my mind, if you don't like it don't read it. And I hereby stand at my original decision, "I will no longer buy any games from any publishers that require another useless launcher.

Maybe they could make a FarCry series-specific account, then an individual game account. So, that way, when I buy FarCry 4 on Steam, I can log in to Steam, log in to UPlay, log in to the FarCry series account, then log into my FarCry 4 account to play a singleplayer game. I assume that is sarcasim, but thats exactly what its coming to. I'd hate to give up my PC to inferior consoles, but as long as consoles arent incorporating launchers, I may have to switch to the PS4 when it comes.

For those of you who do play consoles, look at it this way, if you want to play online, you already have to sign into PSN/XBL and thats it, you're good to go. Now after you login to PSN/XBL, then login to Uplay, then Login to a Specific game server. After a while it becomes to much of a hassle. But I get it if you are playing CoD online, but for those single player games like AC3, Skyrim, FC3, Tomb Raider, (not saying they all have launchers) whats the need to login to anything at all, let alone Steam, then the corrisponding launcher that is useless. Remember the good days when it was pop in the disc or cartridge and you are playing seconds later. Now you spend 5 minutes logging into everything just for the pure power trip of large corporations. So again, here is my stand, I'm done buying any game that requires any other launcher than "Steam". And not because I prefer Steam, but because it is pointless to login to anything else.

I agree with OP to the fullest extent. I will support steam and only steam as a launcher. I will research a game and if it requires an additional launcher, I'm not playing it. You're not alone, regardless what anyone else thinks. You're 100% on point.
