people using disposable id for griefing in free mods
I've seen this in a few free to play games most recently in the mod no more room in hell where a player gets permanently banned from a server then creates a new steam account to do the same things again. I realize that it won't be much of a problem to steam since it doesn't affect their paying games as the person would have to purchase the game under the new id but it creates a problem for the people who provide and maintain the servers (usually at a financial loss). Is there a way around this? Possibly by tracking mac id's used on an account or something since free email accounts can be made quickly even if you don't have one already. I decided to post this after having issues with a person who I recognize and has been banned five times on that server alone for hacking and griefing. this is an issueu with the client since the server only checks for a valid steam ticket.

They get banned from the server, not from Steam. Any solutions would need to be implemented by the server owner.
I agree, id is disposable since they turned to consoles and let PC down...

On topic: It's impossible to distinguish people who make multiple accounts from people who use the same computer, same network (IP address) etc. Anything Valve did would hurt these people probably.
