Steam cannot fix a game they didn't make.
I am sending feedback to the publisher too.
But what I am talking about here, is about being able to send feedback about Steam Service itself, if you are not happy about it.
They should have a way you can directly reach them with your concerns, yet they don't have any.
The Support contact is only for technical issues and you should not complain about their service there. And the forums are not good either, because Steam employees don't read all of the post and even if they do, they don't answer them.
Any other company you can call them, chat with them or send them at least and email so you can complain about their service.
This is not about me being right or not about my issue. This is about the fact that people should be able to send them feedback. Instead they force you to go through this forums, where you spend time trying to reach them, and you don't achieve it anyway.
Regards!
Im actually glad they don't because you are obviously misinformed and you would have given them bad feedback in a heart beat. Imagine that from thousands of people. Im sure you are not the only one facing problems with your game
Forget my problem, what about people that you may consider have a legit complaint?
The consumers rights indicate you have the right to be heard and the right to a response from the Company that is offering you a service.
And to make it clear, the response doesn't have to agree with what you say.
But Steam doesn't have that simple thing. And I am amazed you could consider that is fine. I guess you have had never any problem with any company ever, so you had never the need to complain to them. You are very lucky. Good for you!
Tell me how I am misinformed about requesting something as simple as sending Feedback?
I think you are the misinformed one, you don't seem to realize that some people may think different to you.
If you feel like giving some actual facts instead of what you feel I will gladly read your comments. But if you are going to answer I will really appreciate that you read my posts first.
And what's more, thanks god there are people in the world that don't think like you. In the end I don't loose a thing, Steam does, since I won't buy from them anymore.
Do they care? Of course not.
Do I care that they don't care? Well I feel bad for them, because if they keep ignoring the customer service they may find trouble in the future, even maybe in the real faraway future. And they have problems that means people may loose their jobs.
It wouldn't be the first time a Company fails in the end because of stuff like this. They are so big and think they are safe and they wind up failing. I do hope that doesn't happen to Steam, I don't like people loosing their jobs. But that is why they need a feedback option. Is about basic psychology.
Some cases here of companies affected by bad customer service.

There are critics out there that will give anyone grief just brecause they are having a hard time with something or they are having a bad day etc. You would probably be one of them. Because Your game wasn't working the way you expected it and you imediately jumped to the conclusion that it was steams fault.
Now imagine if the thousands of people that have played that game thought the same thing and they blamed Valve. Then you would have a whole company screwed over because a game designer messed up the resolution or didn't improve the game too much.
Now on the other hand if you could send feedback that was reviewed first then I would agree but mindless misinformation would just cause Steams reputation to spiral out of control.
Another thing is reccommendation.
This thing isn't accurate because how often do you see people talk bad about a game. Then when you think to buy it you don't actually read their reccommendation, you just think it is good because it says reccommend. They should add some type of feedback/survey and they should change reccomendation to reviews
This thread is about a Send feedback option.
About the misinformation, you are responsible for what you sell. That is how the world works.
There has to be some quality assurance, if not how Steam protects its reputation then?
Other companies make sure that the companies they are selling from follow certain standards.
If anything, a game that doesn't work properly and is wrongly advertised on the site because a Dev or publisher did a trashy job, and Steam doesn't help its customers about it, that is bad for Steam reputation.
My hard time here is with the Customer Service (or lack of it). Something very simple they could do is have publisher and dev information easy reachable so you can use that.
The fact that they didn't bother to even address my questions (you didn't see my ticket, so you don't know what I said) and they just told me to write here, shows they don't care what their clients think.
They didn't even tell me to write to the publisher, they just said to write on the forums.
Btw you shouldn't insult people, because that itself is causing random grief no? Since you don't really know me or know the entire situation.
Your very arguments defends my suggestion of a feedback option.
Lets say one of those people that gives random grief would be forced to come here, by Steam itself suggestion, and for some reason he manages to find enough people that agree with him, that would damage Steam reputation no?
Now if they instead could send an email with their concern, an email that only Steam sees, and steam can deal with as they please. Wouldn't that prevent any reputation damage?
I am not sure what you mean by reviewing the feedback.
I would assume if you could send an email to Steam, they would review it to see if its valid or not.
I am not sure i grasp your recommendation idea, can you expand on that?
Regards!
If there's something wrong with the service or whatever it's nice to go to your settings and easily send feedback.
Im not trying to insult you and I agree with you but you also stated above that your main concern is about a game that valve has very little to do with. But you thought it was steams fault. Meaning that most likely you would have accused them for somehting they had little control over. I agree that Valve needs to do better in some areas but I also know that there are some things which they simply can and can't do
Mr. Sand, this thread is about a Feedback Option, I have repeated many times that it bothers me the lack of options to contact Steam, and that you can not let them know directly of your problems. I stated too that they force you to come here to expose your problems to others, that alone may dissuade a lot of people to complain, because as you can see this is actually time consuming.
I didn't think is Steam responsibility that the game is trashy, is Steam responsibility to advertise well what they sell and to make sure the information they provide is clear.
I started my support ticket mentioning the problems with the game and that some of the information of the Store Page could be improved. I asked if there was a way they could review it. Because I think with some additional information some problems would be avoided. For example I would have never bought the game if I knew they took away the option to change the resolution.
Since the Dev and Publisher may be doing a bad job or deceiving people, Steam could have more information available to protects its clients. And I accept that at first Steam may not have known, but people has been complaining of some things on the forums and I even tried to send feedback. After a while they can do something about it no?
They didn't address my concern at all and said to post on the forums. I asked where can I complain about their Service, they didn't answer. Each direct question I did they didn't answer at all, and they just told me to post in the forum any idea, suggestion or whatever. At that point I got tired and decided to ask for a refund since they were not willing to receive my feedback (note i said receive and not actually do something about it, because that is up to them, but there should be a way i can give feedback)
If they had any real interest in their client satisfaction they would have a way you can send feedback, like just about every other company has.
Even more, I find funny that most posts in here tell me to go to the Publisher and Dev, although my game problem is not the topic of my post. The topic is the feedback option.
Yet all the people that said that, was actually trying to help or direct me. Steam didn't even suggest to contact the publisher, just told me to go to the forums, to my every question. Some of them they didn't even bother to answer.
Now, tell me, do you think that is a good behavior?
The complaint I want to send to Steam is not that the game doesn't work, is that their Customer Service needs to be improved.
I own more games that I will ever be able to play, if Steam would have been helpful I wouldn't be asking a refund right now, I would have just let it be, sent a note to the Dev team, and waited for them to do a patch that solved my problem.
Regards!
Steam/Valve needs
A feedback option
More Custimization (especially in privacy)
A better service because this one is god awful and is horribly slow also makes videos play horribly and lags out when loading store pages
Big Picture mode needs to rely less on CPU and perform better because it is slower than hell on my computer
Steam needs to have more support
Needs to make their own skins allow you to change them
Needs to finish their next Source Engine
Needs to Make Half-life 3
Needs to either get more people working on stuff or to quit coming out with so many BS free to play games that suck or have rediculous prices
Other than that they are great IMO. They have great screenshots the cloud is nice and I have been with steam for 4 years and they have been improving a lot and its great
Are you one of those people who think any game on Steam is made by Valve? :/
Because the only free to play games Valve have made are TF2 and Dota2. But neither of those have ridiculous prices. Dota2 being about the best Free to play game ever because it doesn't charge for things that change the gameplay.
You ought to read up more about the free to play games because they are not made by Valve. Steam is a program and not a company btw.
Also if Steam makes your PC slow, you might be wanting to try and fix that as I think it's your PC at this point.
I know what games are made by Valve im not stupid. And TF2 has some rediculous prices for purely cosmetic items
