Graphics Card Upgrade for a Dell Inspiron..any ideas
I am semi-new to Steam and it has grown on me, thanks to my boyfriend who showed this to me. I would like to play more PC games on my laptop. I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and wanted to know which graphics card I can get to replace the Intel one I currently use. The current one is nice but....
(please keep all comments and suggestions constructive, trolling will not be tolerated thank you)

You can't upgrade the graphics card in that laptop. You are stuck with the one soldered to your motherboard.

how to install any gpu on ur laptop:

http://www.techradar.com/us/news/computing-components/graphics-cards/how-to-make-an-external-laptop-graphics-adaptor-915616

how to install any gpu on some laptops :

there is also another method for using a pci x1 ribbon to pcix16 ribbon that will give better performance, but some laptop bios wont dig it... you alsno need a spare card port on the inside, or u could take out the wifi card if its a pcix1 wifi card and put it in there and then get a usb wifi stick, etc... etc...

anyway the ribbon is like 10 bucks, order a decent card.. like a 570/560/480, or go bigger whatever.. and the ribbon. try it, if it works it works, if not... spend 100 bucks on the pmcia adapter.

-oh yea 1 more thing, if u do go big.. just dont get a dual gpu card as most of those newer 1s demand pcix8 or pcix4 as a minimum, and wont work...
