Can you launch Big Picture mode from the controller?

Is there any key combination on the controller that starts Big Picture mode?

I know that Alt+Enter is the keyboard shortcut, but would love if there was a controller shortcut as well.

If there is not, I think this would be a good suggestion for a future addition.

You can set it to go in big picture mode by default by checking it in the settings

Unfortunately I don't want to make it go in by default -- I have two rooms where I use Steam. One has a TV and a controller, the other is in front of my monitor. I usually use Steam in the normal mode, but it would be great to be able to just walk into the other room, turn my controller on, and press a button combination to get into Big Picture mode.

If Steam is the active window, I believe pressing the XBox/Guide button on your controller will launch Big Picture mode.

Thanks Frazer -- I will try this. I use a PS3 controller over Bluetooth, and I thought I had tried this in the past, but will give it a shot again.

I'm not sure if it works the same way with the PS3 controller. Let us know if it does or doesn't!

I believe I have my PS3 controller emulating an XBox 360 controller, so in theory it should work! I will post back here if it does not. Thanks! :)
