Option to remove screenshot backgrounds
One of the worst things I notice is how Steam will use screenshots from a game as background pictures for it instead of the default ones. For example, if someone has just purchased Borderlands 2, when they select the game from their library the main window will have some text and links, and a picture Gearbox provided in the background. If the person in this example is like me, and they take pictures of the neater guns they find, those background pictures will be replaced by screenshots taken. This wouldn't be terrible, if for a few tweaks: 1. An option to totally disable this, to remove the possibility of a player's screenshot being used, or 2. if user screenshots were added to the 'cycle' of backgrounds.

As it stands now, if you only take a single screenshot in a game, it will replace all of the stock backgrounds with that one single picture, which gets really annoying.

It's not a huge deal but it bugs the hell out of me, anyone else?

Another option is to Simply delete the Screenshot from your computer, When you Take a Screenshot it stored on both your computer and your Cloud, however if u just delete the screenshot on your computer you can keep the cloud screenshot and get the default background back

To do this simply go to the screenshot click show on disk, and then delete the pictures in the folder. You'll still have the screenshot saved on your cloud but youll get the default background back.

To be honest, I remove my screenshots from their place in the steam folder architecture because the default screenshots often show a much more beautiful or interesting photo. In something like team fortress 2 I might take a screenshot of the scoreboard of an excellent round I had, but then that is the new background whenever I select it rather than a colorful, interesting photo from the default collection for the game.

It is quite annoying, and I'd just like to be able to keep the defaults without digging through my folders whenever I take a picture.

Wow. I think it's an awesome feature, it spices up my library with a bit of colour.

As someone that takes pictures rarely, and usually only ones I find funny or vaguely interesting, it's not super great when the background pictures are all replaced by a single picture of some text or a wall and it never cycles to anything nice again.

While I do manually go in and delete all of them on my computer after uploading them, I really shouldn't have to. I shouldn't have to make a chore out of fixing a poorly designed nonessential extra.

This is why i never take screenshots anymore. Half the time it's just my score or something, so it makes a piss-ugly background.

Of course it's an awesome feature in theory, but it's presentation leaves a lot to be desired, in particular, options to change the details of it, particularly whether or not to replace the stock images at all, and perhaps even an option for those so inclined to mark which images Steam should and should not use as a background. I've only taken two screenshots in Borderlands 2, for instance, and they both make for quite the boring background images.:cgpout:

No, when you take a screenshot, it's only saved to your computer. They must be manually uploaded by clicking the "Upload" button in the bottom-right corner of the screenshot viewer. Once uploaded, the thumbnail will have a cloud icon on it.

Everyone, I have a solution.
After closing the game:

1. Right click on game and select view screenshots
2. Click Show on Disk
3. Cut all of the photos, including the ones in the thumbnail files
4. Paste into a completely different file wherever you want.

After doing that, you should be able to see your screenshots even if you right click and select view screenshots. The only difference is that now the background will be the default backgrounds and not the screenshots.

I FOUND OUT HOW: Click in your library right click on the game with the annyoing screenshots. Then, click on show screenshots and select all/ the annoying ones. Delete them, restart steam and youre good
