You can't please everybody. I guess the fonts will look different to everyone since they all have different monitor resolutions.

Fun fact. Your screen size doesn't effect what it's going to look like, the resolution you are using does. Hence your 17" or 28" screen will have the same font look on 1920x1080.

Exactly. And this also happens to be the best reason to give us the option to set the font size ourselves, prefferably without having to alter text files that are constantly overwritten.

Forcing large text is nice for the people that couldn't read the old size, but horrible for those of us that had no issues with it.

Include an option to select our own sizes, please. I loved it back then, but now I find it way too big and since I know there's people who enjoy it, they should simply include the option. Such an option for a chat should of been there from the beginning anyway.

Granted, i use a custom skin and that may be overriding the font size, but i can't see any increase in chat rooms..?

its the wave of the furture . you want your old fonts and licorice whips and to drink phosphates and ride the trolley for a nickle well to bad . in a few years the font size might be 4 times the size it is now since people are trying to navigate stuff on the web with there smart phones that have small back lit screens . i blame apple for this

I'd greatly appreciate the ability to shrink the text back to its regular size without having to do a .ini tweak every time I have to restart steam/my computer. I run @1920x1080 and the former chat text size was perfectly aligned with all of my other chatting programs. I greatly appreciated the uniform look and the text was at a comfortable level for me. I didn't ask for the font to be increased and for the people who do need it or want it that's great, just don't force me to have to put up with less text per line per window because of that.

There's not even consistency in the program. Why is the chat text so big when everything else, including the text entry box, the same size as it was. It looks sloppy and unprofessional.

I prefer the smaller text and will be editing the steam file. It's not really fair that those of us that had no problem with the text size before have to go behind-the-scenes to "change it back". Was there no file in the Steam folder before that the users who found the chat size too small could go in and edit?
