Confirmation link when changing email adress
Hello !

My account was hacked yesterday, and the hacker changed all my password and my email and i couldn't do anything. I just realized when i received a confirmation email from steam, which said that my email address has been successfully changed.

I suppose that we should have a link in the confirmation email, like : "To change your email adress, please visit the following page..."
I think that's necessery, cuz when our email changed by the hacker, we coulnd't do anything !

Thank you for your attention, and sry for my bad english.

There used to be one. - If you are using SteamGuard, the change address confirmation doesn't happen.

if someone is able to get your username AND password AND email address AND email pasword, and log into your account, a confirmation link has no benefit as they already have access to your email account and would be able to click it on themselves! They've already been able to get the SteamGuard code from your email, so another link doesn't help you at all.

Steamguard is already your confirmation. If you're getting hijacked you've got other issues. You should

1) Enable SteamGuard
2) Use gmail/hotmail
3) Link Google Authenticator to gmail/hotmail
4) Ensure your email password is COMPLEX and NOT REUSED ANYWHERE on the Internet
5) Install anti-virus
6) Ensure your OS/Java/Flash is always fully patched
7) Be wary of phishing links promising 'free' anything

I just got phishing, the phisher only has my id and password of my steam account, then he can change the email and my password, he can control everything

Wrong, i can give you my Steam username and password and you won't be able to log into my account. Since you'll need my steamguard email and password.

And once the phisher gets your steamguard email user/pass, where do you receive a confirmation email becomes a moot point.

-Change email password.
-You no longer own the email associated with your account.
-Login on Steam Account.
-Deactivate all Steamguard validated machines.
-You're out of your account.
