Game Notes (a damn good idea)

My idea is that you can add notes, much like "sticky notes" in windows 7, to games on your steam overlay. One would open up the steam overlay in a game, then be able to open up a little notepad and jot down a few things. It would autosave and you'd be able to acess them different ways too, outside of a game.
I think this would be useful for those making guides, or just playing an indepth game, and it seems simple to implement. So, Valve. Hear my call!

I'd be with you if Steam didn't already run like sh*t. It's not a bad idea at all but adding it will no doubt kill the client performance even more. Just not happy that the original main focus (playing games, organized library) seems to no longer be the main focus.

What's wrong with good old pencil and paper?...I have folders of self made walk through guides which I have made myself!....painstakingly over the years..and no detriment to my computer's memory...

And...What?? You don't want to be writing stuff down in a note book while playing the game??? Well, that's what you'll be doing on the computer any way DERP...>.<

All you have to do is have a note pad beside you and simply press escape once to make a note then escape again to go back in game...how hard is that??...Instead, You want every game developer out there to design a notepad feature so you can make notes using a menu feature and the keyboard?? Come on mate...get real!

Oh I don't know, preferences? Is it so bad to prefer to type than to write, when they both produce the same thing, a piece of paper with words?

This isn't a "damn good idea". It's more like an ok idea, a nifty feature that might be nice in Steam.

Thanks for the suggestion, Barnose. and Yeah it's more the "the most okay idea ever", and probably won't happen. Just a thought I thought I'd share.
