Steam guide maker has a character limit?

I am making a guide for the demoman, but in the middle of my typing, the characters stopped appearing on the sreen. After 3 minutes of tinkering with it, I discovered that there was a limit to how long each section of any guide can be. I started a new section, but I am worried that there is a section limit too. I really want to get everything in, but I don't want to split the guide in to two parts. I suggest steam increase the limit of the guide maker. It won't cause THAT much harm out of causing a bit of lag to those who enter the guide. Does anybody second this suggestion?

Yeah the character limit did annoy me quite a bit when I made my dinky little guide.
I agree the limit should be higher.

Character limits are per sections, anybody know the specific?

Scratch that last part (question). I made a test to know what it was. There is a 8 000 character limits per sections.

Don't beleive me, create a trash section and input the same character over and over. Copy paste to word and check properties.

Hope that help you guys and other like me that look for that specific answer.

This is a rather dumb limit to create when you can just create a new section to extend it. My sections aren't very big in the guide I'm working on but still have a lot of characters because of the stupidly verbose insert image tags. (The section is an image album for previewing accessories)

Table formating can also bite you in the ass... for that matter, any formating character counts...

Guess you may have to split it by theme. On the upside, you'll gain sweet organisation XP :)

Then you may consider doing it in word, screenshot it and upload it as artwork or link it somehow.
