That's it. Nothing else. For that reason I do not see the need for a Twitter link.
Steam also (relatively) recently added "statuses", and this kind of cross-pollination (that basically defines social media, to some degree) is already very common, whether it's sharing a youtube video to Facebook, notifying people of your (say) Tumblr blog updates via Twitter, or posting status updates on Facebook and Twitter through some manager program. It seems entirely natural some people would like, and would use, the option to simultaneously share various Steam events or posts on other sites, including Twitter.
I don't do this kind of multi-locatioon sharing myself, so obviously I also wouldn't need this. But I don't think that's particularly meaningful as a post: no suggestion is really needed, that's why Steam can operate without them at the moment. If there's enough demand for this sort of thing, people who do use it will like Steam better for it having these features, and Valve may get more customers using their software and more free advertising all over the web.
Ah, yes. That's true. But once the screenshot has been uploaded, you can share that to Twitter from there: http://i.imgur.com/cZfvabp.png
It's even stranger that it's not included as an option considering there is a Steam and Valve twitter feed (which I have sub'd to) so it's not like the technology is alien to them.
A Twitter link would be good for finding Twitter followed/followers on Steam since Raptr has it.
The real world shows that Facebook popularity is dwindiling and Twitter is on another surge so in reality I think it'd benefit both Twitter and Steam to be integrated, of course, the API for Twitter is still really strict.
I don't want any social media crap infecting Steam. It's bad enough they allow Facebook on there let alone that the only way to upload a video is via Youtube which entails a huge amount of Google crap in and of itself. Both companies want your name and phone number as well.
Social media is killing the internet and privacy. Crap like Twitter, Instagram and Vine are killing actual people these days because stupid people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with their phone instead of driving their car.
