Remove the ™ and ® symbols from all Steam game titles

I'm making this thread on a slowly increasing problem on Steam game titles.

On some Steam titles, for example - Assassin's Creed 3, Far Cry 3, Age of Empies 3 and Batman: Arkham Origins. They all have an ® or a ™ in the name. While these games are a trademark of the company they belong to, there is absolutely no need to stick them in the game title name.

Let's take Assassin's Creed III for example - http://puu.sh/524TF/c243385b95.png

It is the only AC game that has the ® in the game title. No other AC games have it, not even AC4 has it. The apostrophe is also different on AC3 compared to the other AC games also.

Another example is the latest Batman game - http://i.imgur.com/8glUgTC.png

The ™ isn't supposed to be there.

This is the same case for Far Cry 3, which as the ® in it.

Age of Empires 3 does the same as it appears above 2, however I already contacted Microsoft about this and they stated they would talk to Valve and see about getting it fixed.

I would imagine there are other Steam titles that this is the same case for. These are the only Steam games I own that have ™ or ® in them.

This is basically a request to Valve to remove all ™ and ® symbols from Steam game title names. OR allow us to rename our library games to our liking.

Some of you are probably thinking "this is the smallest bug I've ever seen", this is correct, but for people who have OCD will know how seriously annoying this is.

Another thing that rubs me the wrong way is

"Sid Meier's" Civilization

"Tom Clancy's" Rainbow six

And so on and so forth.

Well no, that's techically right in the English language. You would use an apostrophe to show that X belongs to Y. So Tom Clancy's Raindow Six is correct because Rainbow Six belongs to Tom Clancy (RIP).

Im not OCD or anything. Got over it fast, but yeah... its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid. It only bothers me when friends tell me about it, and yes now its bothering me.

I just bought Far Cry 3 and it's super annoying that it's listed above FC1 and FC2 in my library. Not to mention the ® symbol just makes it the title look bad. I definitely have OCD and cannot stand to see the games out of order in my library. I agree whole-heartedly with this thread. Please get rid of all the symbols and clean up all the titles available on Steam. This is the one thing I can't stand about steam. I love looking at all the titles in my library, but it kills me when they are out of order, especially since it's just because of an space or symbol. PLEASE FIX IT!

I'm gonna present this on the Ubisoft forums and see what they say. They will have to ask Valve to change it as the game is already live. Contacting Ubisoft support has done nothing.

I guess some people don't care, but it would be nice to fix it for those of us that do. I just like having my Steam library looking nice and clean

If you don't like this affecting your Library, don't purchase or activate the games on Steam. Problem solved.

If you don't like a specific part about steam, don't install it or uninstall it. Don't go to the suggestion forums.

Yep, same for Far Cry 3. It has the ® in it which makes it appear above Far Cry 1 and 2. It's silly.
