Agreed. The only game I really enjoy for its Acheivements is currently Civ V. It would be so boring and repetative otherwise. The Acheievement make you try different tactics and I have now played WAY more Civ than I expected to ... and I havn't even bought the BNW DLC yet.
With Family Sharing there is also the possibility that a more feature rich version of the sharing will encourage family play and I would like to see a family comparison page to encourage that.
Working out which Acheivements you still need to get can be a pain. THe showcase only lets you find what you already got!
Even comparing against the masses I have percentages of rarity... but how many players have it? How many players in total?
Then I want to compare my Acheivements against a freinds. No mechanism.
So I think there is a lot of room for improvement
Yes. eg Purple People Eaters Acheievement in Civ V. You get that winning a scenario playing as Hardrada of Norway. I got it - but have no idea how many other players have got it.
A percentage of players is shown but how many players have won it? It shows .5% of all players. So how many other players have it? 100; 1000; 10,000? It would mean much more if I knew how many players could win it i total
I don't want to have to work it out ;) So a ranking or some statement like ...
'you are x winner of y players'
for some games WHEN you win might be important to the high acheivers... so
'you are x of y players and were z'th player to get this'.
I'd be satisfied with knowing how many of us have each, and of how many in total that could win each.
But that shouldn't make it imposssible for me to know the stats. The leaderboard could show ME where I am and anyone private could show as a 'private' entry
