Dorfromantik is a really chill puzzle game. It's only as complex as you make it, and you can have fun just putting tiles down and making pretty landscapes. If you want to get a high score, you can put more thought into it.
yes italian mate, i will check Fata Morgana, but probably he is looking for something more stimulating...
All these simulators are way beyond his understanding :/
I also wanna markr that his laptop doesn't even run Abzu, it could never run these titles.
But you gave me a very good suggestion for a fishing game. He might like it, but it has to be extremely simple, like those PS1 titles
lol I'm not trying to make my dad a video game addict.
ANYWAY i tried to download Medieval total war 2 for him, since he loves medieval/roman stuff, but it was just ...awkward ?. He doesn't understand those things that seemed obvious to me even when I played as a child (it was the first medieval total war ofc).
I underestimated his inability to play video games, yet he wastes hours with pinball (the one from Microsoft) or checkers.
I'm running out of ideas. I thought I'd let him try
-Vampire survivors (but I'm afraid he won't understand how synergies work)
-Plants vs zombies. Never tried it, but it seems like a telephone game. It must be simple...
-Firewatch: I hope there are no puzzles to solve
-Fishing games?
Thanks again everyone for the replies, love u all
thank you mate, firewatch is the most likely one, edith finch although it seems like a masterpiece I'm sure it has puzzles that would only frustrate him.
damn son, you put a lot of effort here, thank you so much , but im pretty sure he will not like any of these titles, they look very naive (Maybe they are more suitable for a woman?) but i will give a look for sure, thank you so much for your time
bro...he can't get past the second level of world of goo do you think he could ever get out of the main weapon menu of Arma or HLL? XD
Oh wow. Well does he know how to use a controller, or how to play video games? If not, it may be tough.
I'm an "old man" and so i'm just giving some suggestions in what i like to play. But i know how to play video games.
Work sims as others mentioned as well, but he has to know how to use video game mechanics. Phone games i know are big for those our age as well. They may be much easier to play, but i never dwelled into it.
nope, he dosent know how use a controller, or A,S,D,W basic movement, he dosent have a smarthphone too. Arma is one of the most complex sim ...no i m looking for something for a potato brain (love u dad)
What he doesn't know isn't the problem. No one is born knowing these things but ith the right game we are not only taught but motivated to learn and get better.
Hence my recommendation for slower paced games that do not require a loty of manual dexterity or speedy reactions. A game like say the truct simulator games for example can do a fair job of teaching controller use without too much friction.
Alternatively, turn-based strategy or role-playing games.
