Make updates for regional pricing automatically. Hear me out.
Valve promised to update regional pricing suggestions on an annual basis. And they don't deliver (at least for some countries).

Please consider adding a feature to recalculate prices automatically (daily/weekly/monthly).

The current pricing system for developers is flexible and convenient. No doubt. You can set regional prices manually or just use Valve's suggested pricing.

But there is one problem with the latter. There are some regions whose currency exchange ratio hasn't been updated in ages. This is not fair.

Let's be honest, most of the developers just use Valve's suggestions because it requires no research.

===

Suggestion: Add an option for developers to use some kind of automatic conversion for regional pricing if they want to follow Valve's suggestions (ideally on a weekly/monthly basis).

===

I speak for Poland. The latest update on our regional pricing suggestion was during Covid. Our currency was the weakest "ever" at this time. As a result, Poland has the 2nd highest prices on Steam.

We have to literally ask every developer/publisher to lower a price a bit.

===

About price fluctuations. I wouldn't mind if the price is 59.89 zł one month and the next month is 62.12 zł as long as I know it is equivalent to a certain amount in USD/EURO.

It worked kinda the same way when we didn't have regional pricing (just currency exchange was on the bank side).

My game count is totally irrelevant. Really?!

Besides, I have no idea where your numbers come from (inflation). Some sources say that the Netherlands and Belgium have both higher inflation rates than Poland. And what?

To be honest, I don't really need your response anymore.

Ah! Not wanting to know others pay more than you which is odd when you wanted everyone to know you paid the second highest price.

Example product Civ 7:

£59.99 while you pay £59.71 a saving of 0.46%.

Who sets the prices of products? The developers, publishers.

Example product:

The Outer Worlds - £24.99 Steam - £24.99 Epic - £24.99 GOG.

The Outer Worlds Spacer Choice Edition - £49.99 Steam - £49.99 Epic - £49.99 GOG.

You are not obviously struggling for money with 974 games.
So if he had fewer games his argument would be more convincing? It's sad you don't even realise how ignorant you are.

It would not because his country and your country (Poland) has it's own currency and a higher inflation rate than the Eurozone, but he Polabd should be treat differently.

Ironically people in the UK pay more and are not complaining but that breaks his "we pay more" narrative.

We are actively reaching out to developers/publishers, asking them to adjust prices.

Thus, sometimes you might be watching at already lowered prices manually. So it's not a surprise that some titles have similar or lower prices…

Ironically, check you how much more they earn than people in Poland. Your mind will be blown.
Also, Brexit.

Why? I do not live in Poland.

You also assume everyone is on a high wage in the UK but that is not reality.

Private renting is around the £650 per month and that is at the lower end and goes even higher and that does not include bills. If you only earn £1000 a month money is tight and games are a luxury, not a necessity. Food, bills etc take precedent.

Brexit :steamthumbsup: Away from the tyranny of the EU, when the French, Irish and Dutch rejected the European Constitution in referendums and the unelected who sit in the seats of powers would not let go of their dream so they re-wrote the European Constitution as the Lisbon Treaty and forced it through.

A treaty does not allow for referendums and democracy died on that day.

Maybe you also forgot the EU has open borders yet the French blockaded Polish lorry drivers from entering France because they provided a cheaper service.

Although UK is going down the drain, it's still much richer than Poland. Hopefully this will change soon.

The fact that Polish prices are unfairly inflated because of bad valve's recommendatio is proven by dozens of developers who lowered prices of their games when they became aware of those unfair prices. Here's one example:
